Habits for a Happy Life - 20th June - Beachcomber Retreat Day

Join our first holiday retreat day at Bridlington Links Golf Club with beautiful views over the stunning cliff tops of Flamborough head towards Bridlington Bay on the East Coast of Yorkshire.

The day starts at 10am and ends at 4pm, with a mid-morning and mid-afternoon break and an hour for lunch, which can be booked in the restaurant or purchased from the farm shop.

The day will be led by local meditation teacher Heather Regan-Addis and the theme of the day will be habits for a happy life.

Heather will provide short teachings, movement and meditation practices and reflections to support the cultivation of some of the key habits of happy people, including presence, kindness and gratitude. She will also suggest some daily life activities which can be incorporated easily into our busy lives to build the habits for a happy life.

After lunch Heather will be joined by Tracy Connor to provide a session on mindfully and joyfully creating a here and now stone.

This practice day is suitable for beginners as well as those who have previous experience of mindfulness or meditation practice.

Enjoying Life Fully - 5-6 September - Beachcomber Holiday Retreat Weekend

Join our first holiday retreat weekend at Bridlington Links Golf Club with beautiful views over the stunning cliff tops of Flamborough head towards Bridlington Bay on the East Coast of Yorkshire.

The weekend will run 10am to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm on Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sunday. There will be a mid-morning and mid-afternoon break and an hour for lunch, which can be booked in the restaurant or purchased from the farm shop, both of which are on site.

There will also be an evening celebration on the Saturday evening for enjoying music and dancing, with DJ Steve playing your favourite songs to dance to.

The day will be led by local meditation teacher Heather Regan-Addis and the theme for the weekend will be Enjoying Life Fully.

Heather will provide short teachings, movement and meditation practices and reflections to build skills for living and enjoying life to the full. We will be practicing presence and appreciation to enable us to enjoy the many rich and beautiful moments of our lives, which we often miss in the busyness of our mind and life.

We will also be developing skills for emotional resilience, such as self-compassion and equanimity, which can transform the challenges of life into opportunities for learning and personal growth.

After lunch on Saturday Heather will be joined by Tracy Conner to provide a session on mindfully and joyfully Zentangling the cover of a gratitude journal, which you can then take home and use to record all the things in life you are grateful for and that you appreciate.

This weekend is suitable for beginners as well as those who have previous experience of mindfulness or meditation practice.

Restoring sleep and rest - 18th July - Beachcomber Retreat Day

Heather will provide short teachings, movement and meditation practices and reflections to support rest and relaxation and which can promote a good night’s sleep. She will also suggest some daily life activities which can be incorporated easily into our busy lives to build habits to improve rest and sleep.

After lunch Heather will be joined by Tracy Connor to provide a session on mindfully and joyfully sewing a lavender bag for you to take home. The scent of lavender supports sleep and rest.

This practice day is suitable for beginners as well as those who have previous experience of mindfulness or meditation practice.
